Major order for 120 long semi-trailers

The Schwarzmüller Group has received a major order for 120 Type 1 long semi-trailers in lightweight design. The vehicles were ordered by Gartner KG from Lambach (Upper Austria). "This is the largest order we have ever received in this segment in Europe," said Schwarzmüller CEO Roland Hartwig when the order was announced at the company's headquarters in Freinberg near Schärding (Upper Austria).

Gartner KG, one of the largest transport companies in Europe, is the first transport management specialist to use the 14.98 meter version of the long truck, which is already approved in Germany. It has ordered the vehicles in the MEGA version and in lightweight construction from Schwarzmüller. These are 1.3 meters longer than normal flatbed semi-trailers and have an interior height of 3 meters, but weigh 1,000 kilograms less than a standard vehicle. "Schwarzmüller's lightweight construction is
unique and offers us real advantages. We save more than 10 percent fuel per truck and also reduce CO2 emissions by the same amount," emphasized Richard Gartner, Managing Partner of Gartner KG, at the handover of the first vehicles. The entire delivery will be completed by the end of August.

Hartwig sees the fact that 120 Schwarzmüller Lang semi-trailers are now on the road throughout Germany as a further sign of confidence from Gartner. The two family-run companies with a tradition stretching back more than 100 years are linked by a long partnership that is also based on shared values. "We share the aspiration to offer top performance and to live handshake quality," emphasized CEO Hartwig. As a result, both companies have become market leaders
in their segment.
