Tough practical use
Mercedes-Benz eActros starts for Dachser in Stuttgart
Mercedes-Benz Trucks has handed over a locally emission-free eActros to logistics service provider Dachser. The all-electric 18-ton truck complements the company's vehicle fleet for use in the Stuttgart area.
Part of the innovation fleet
The vehicle with a range of up to 200 kilometers was handed over to Dachser in Kornwestheim, just outside Stuttgart. In future, the new eActros will transport general cargo for Dachser customers in Stuttgart city center. It will also supply the Dachser micro hub in the Stuttgart district of Heslach with last-mile shipments. The all-electric truck is part of the so-called "innovation fleet" of Mercedes-Benz Trucks for testing the heavy-duty electric truck in practical use.
Gathering findings in practical trials
Martin Kehnen, Head of CharterWay Rental & Key Account Management Germany at Mercedes-Benz Trucks: "The eActros has already proven itself as a clean and quiet alternative in urban distribution transport in a wide range of practical applications. We are delighted to be working with Dachser to expand the practical testing of the eActros to include a further area of application. In doing so, we want to gain valuable insights for the development towards series production."
