Brazilian beverage producer Ambev orders 228 Mercedes-Benz trucks
Brazil's largest beer brewer and beverage supplier Cervejaria Ambev is expanding its delivery fleet. A total of 228 new Mercedes-Benz trucks - 212 Atego and 16 Actros - are to deliver the beer and soft drinks even more efficiently and safely to thirsty customers.
In future, Ambev will use the 212 Atego for local distribution transport and to supply retailers. They will benefit from their maneuverability. The Mercedes-Benz Actros, on the other hand, will be used for long-distance transport between the breweries and larger logistics centers. The first vehicles were handed over to the Brazilian beverage manufacturer back in September, with the remaining "beer trucks" to follow by the end of the year. Part of the fleet will be equipped with the Fleetboard telematics system. This reduces operating costs and helps the driver to reach their destination more safely and quickly.
