E-truck
Around the world 25 times locally emission-free in two years
According to the company, the FUSO eCanter is the first light truck in small series production. Around 150 vehicles are now being used by customers worldwide. After around two years in customer use, the fleet has reached the mark of one million locally emission-free kilometers driven - a distance that could take you around the world 25 times along the equator.
"The FUSO underlines its pioneering role"
Hartmut Schick, President & CEO Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation and Head of Daimler Trucks Asia: "With more than one million kilometers in everyday use in seven cities on three continents, our FUSO eCanter has proven its reliability and suitability for series production. At the same time, we are gaining valuable information for the development of the next generation. FUSO thus continues to underline its pioneering role in the field of electric commercial vehicles."
With a range of at least 100 kilometers, the eCanter reliably meets the needs of customers in inner-city distribution transport. In typical customer use, it only covers around 30 - 80 kilometers a day.
Next generation planned
Daimler engineers are currently working with customers to collect data and feedback on the daily use of the vehicle, route profiles and charging behavior - information for the ongoing development of the next generation of the FUSO eCanter. These will be produced in Kawasaki, Japan and Tramagal, Portugal.
