With the right preparation, downtimes and machine stoppages can be reduced to a minimum. A digital twin emulates the control technology and all connected systems of the entire plant. It simulates control systems and trades as well as the behavior of the people working on the system. This digital image of the real environment is an ideal test platform for IT solutions that will later control all systems, such as the UniWare warehouse management system. Optimizations to the programming can be implemented before real commissioning. For example, the twin can be used to train customer employees even before the system is converted.
