Former CEO of metaWERK AG now at Logivest
Dr. Michael Siebdrath, former CEO of project developer metaWERK, is joining Logivest on October 1. The nationwide consulting firm, which focuses on logistics properties and locations, plans to further expand the regions around Leipzig, Berlin and Magdeburg with Siebdrath.
Over the past ten years, the native of Saxony has developed locations for logistics and industry in Leipzig and the surrounding area - first as a project developer and Managing Director of metaWERK Projektgesellschaften and later as a member of the Executive Board of metaWERK AG. Now, as the new Head of Letting Berlin and Leipzig, he will be responsible for expanding the consulting business in Berlin and establishing a long-term location in Leipzig.
While the Berlin logistics region has been one of the top locations in Germany for many years, the Leipzig/Halle region is also increasingly becoming one of the hot spots. "In the first half of 2020, the volume of new construction in the Leipzig logistics region quadrupled compared to last year's half-year results. We are therefore all the more pleased that we were able to win over a regional expert like Dr. Siebdrath. Together with him, we want to further establish ourselves in the region and build our own location," says Kuno Neumeier, CEO Logivest.
As CEO of metaWERK AG, Siebdrath has developed pioneering projects such as metaWERK Zwickau and Chemnitz. What appeals to him most about his new role as Head of Letting is the complexity. "Different industries, different requirements - I'm looking forward to being able to use my expertise about the market and the needs in the region on the consultant side," says Dr. Michael Siebdrath. In his new position, Siebdrath reports directly to Michael Starre, CSO at Logivest.
