XXL pouch packaging for e-commerce

Automated Packaging Systems offers a new system for the pouch packaging of large shipping items. The AB 850S presented in Hanover processes mailing bags with a width of up to 550 millimetres, which is not available from the competition.

A thermal transfer printer integrated into the system prints the bags ready for dispatch. The Autobag AB 850S is easy to operate thanks to its ergonomic design and extensive sensor technology, but also meets the safety requirements of the EU Machinery Directive. APS has further developed its AirPouch FastWrap system for the protective packaging of sensitive goods. It now produces the patented honeycomb bubble wrap in widths of up to 800 millimetres. One carton of film now produces 326 linear meters of bubble wrap. APS will also be showing a cross-section of its portfolio of packaging machines, feeding, weighing and counting systems. The typical Autobag bag-on-a-roll will be presented in a wide variety of designs, as well as bubble wrap that protects against UV radiation or electrical charge.
