SIVAplan: Forward-looking planning saves money

A few years ago, SIVAplan built a fully automated raw materials and distribution warehouse for corrugated cardboard for the packaging manufacturer Packners. The consideration of possible expansion potential has now paid off. The warehouse has 14,000 storage locations for raw materials and finished goods. SIVAplan was commissioned to install an additional vertical conveyor to increase the performance of the raw materials transport. The raw goods are transported over a bridge onto a vertical conveyor. This can convey load widths of 900 to 2,600 millimetres and lengths of up to 3,900 millimetres using four satellite vehicles installed on the conveyor and belt conveyors permanently installed on the lifter.
