Metsä Board: Recycling information via QR code
Metsä Board, a producer of virgin fiber paperboard, has introduced a new solution to improve and simplify the recycling process for packaging materials.
From now on, all pallet and roll labels, regardless of the quantities supplied, will feature QR codes. These direct customers to an app that provides detailed information about the various packaging materials used to protect cardboard and liners during the logistics chain.
By providing accessible and clear recycling information, the company aims to make it as easy as possible for its customers to sort and recycle all the materials they receive with their product deliveries. In addition, they can reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill and ensure that materials are recycled as part of the local cycle.
The QR codes have been visible on all carton deliveries since November 2024.
