Order-picking technology

Robots and humans - hand in hand at Swisslog

As a pioneering solution for modern light goods handling, Swisslog presents "Automated Item Pick" (AIP), a fully automated picking workstation in which a robot works hand in hand with a human as a team player. Swisslog AIP enables direct cooperation between humans and robots.

and machine and does not require any safety fences at all. Part of this solution is the LBR iiwa lightweight robot from Kuka, which has highly sensitive properties. Visitors to the trade fair can see this for themselves at the Swisslog stand. The AIP solution intelligently complements Swisslog's AutoStore or CarryPick light goods systems and enables accelerated picking performance. A new shuttle system is one of the centerpieces of the Swisslog stand and will be presented to a broad specialist audience for the first time at LogiMAT. The technology developed by Swisslog represents the latest generation of shuttle systems and is part of a smart logistics solution that relies on the intelligent "autonomy" of material flow control.
