Zufall logistics expands

Goodman's 52,000 square meter logistics property in the Lutterberg industrial estate near Kassel has been completed. Goodman has already achieved full occupancy of the property three months before completion: Zufall Logistics group has leased Unit 5 with a size of 8,800 square meters. The company intends to use the expanded capacity to strengthen its customer support.

Due to its central location within Germany, the region around Kassel is a popular location for the logistics sector. Christof Prange, Head of Business Development at Goodman Germany, explains: "The attractiveness of this location and the quality of our building have led to high customer demand. We were therefore able to fully let the property even before it was completed. Our successful collaboration with Zufall, for whom we have already developed a property in Michelsrombach, naturally played a decisive role in this. As we are also forecasting a high demand for space in this region in the future, we will be pushing ahead with further projects around Kassel."

Focus on sustainability

Goodman's long-standing project partner LIST Bau Nordhorn built the logistics center as a general contractor on a turnkey basis. Sustainability was also a focus during the construction of the new building: LIST used wood as a building material for the roof structure. In Lutterberg, the roof structure of the logistics center bound around 1,940 tons of carbon dioxide.
