Real-time intervention
All security risks at a glance
Maintaining an overview at all times is difficult, especially in commercial properties. An on-site security service can help, but it is not only expensive but also easy to spy on. With the Virtual Guard - a virtual guard tour - a provider of real-time intervention in the security industry is developing an alternative.
This is how Virtual Guard works: Once the camera systems have been activated and installed, the emergency call and service control center (NSL) analyses them regularly at set times. For example, critical areas such as doors, gates and windows or server rooms can be checked again. Are all shutters lowered? Are there any unauthorized persons on the premises? The standards are set by the customer. If there are any anomalies, the security guards react according to an individual intervention chain, for example by notifying the owner or alerting the police in dangerous situations.
Protection against planned break-ins
One advantage is that outsiders cannot see when and how often the virtual guard tours are carried out. This means that perpetrators cannot spy out windows of opportunity to strike. With package prices starting at 75 euros per month, Virtual Guard is also cheaper than an on-site security service. The surveillance technology and connection to the NSL can also be used for other security solutions. "With Virtual Guard, we are adding another important component to our range of security services," says Angelika Riemann, Head of Customer Service at Protection One, based in Meerbusch near Düsseldorf. "Our aim is to offer our customers all services from a single source and to make their lives as easy as possible by providing excellent service. As a member of the German Federal Association for Security Technology (BHE), as the best building services provider in the Top Service Germany 2020 competition and as a company whose complete data protection management is certified in accordance with VdS 10010, we stand for maximum expertise."
"Intervening before the damage is done - we have been developing innovative solutions for this for 24 years," emphasizes Martin Fliegen, Supervisor Technology NSL at Protection One. "We are now extending our expertise in remote monitoring, which we demonstrate in real-time intervention, to the prevention of security breaches that occur in everyday life."
As a provider of comprehensive security solutions, Protection One develops individual concepts for commercial properties, installs and operates the security technology and monitors properties 24/7 with the company's own control center, which is VdS 3138 certified and achieves an audited loss prevention rate of 97.3% in the event of real break-ins. Protection One operates over 3,000 cameras in the cloud.
