Schmalz: Transfer data quickly with new app
At Blechexpo 2017 in Stuttgart, J. Schmalz GmbH showcased its portfolio of vacuum handling solutions for sheet metal processing. One of the highlights was an app that can be used to easily parameterize intelligent components. The Schmalz app offers users a whole range of benefits. It can be used to read and write to all NFC-enabled smart field devices. A smartphone is all that is needed to quickly parameterize the VSi vacuum and pressure switch, for example, or to transfer data from one device to another. This pays off: The commissioning time for gripping systems is reduced by up to 75 percent. Schmalz also exhibited the SAXM vacuum suction pad. It offers very good grip even on oiled sheet metal.
