Gilgen Logistics Pride
An intelligent modular system called mecom
The Swiss intralogistics provider Gilgen Logistics AG is now showcasing online the intelligent modular principle of its mecom conveyor technology, which enables the fast and safe transportation of containers and cartons of various sizes.

A newly developed container stacker/destacker enables optimum, unmixed destacking of different stack formations for fast throughput times in returns logistics. An industrial camera vision system recognizes the stack structure fully automatically and forwards all relevant data to the control system, which then controls the conveying process. High performance, constant output and high precision can therefore be achieved in the tightest of spaces.
Gilgen Logistics will also be presenting "Machine Maintenance with Augmented Reality Remote Support" as part of its digitalization efforts. Mixed reality glasses allow the user to view the newly developed conveyor element as an interactive 3D projection. Visual support and the display of interactive content with easy-to-understand instructions and checklists, which the support specialist can show the technician or system operator in their field of vision, greatly increases user-friendliness and enables problems to be solved quickly. For illustration purposes, high-resolution 3D graphics are projected onto the intralogistics system exactly where the measures need to be carried out.
