Dematic buys Australian AGV provider
Dematic, a provider of intelligent intralogistics solutions, announced the acquisition of NDC Automation, a provider of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and software in Australia and New Zealand. During a transition period, NDC Automation will operate regionally under the NDC Automation brand name and globally as Dematic. Dematic customers will therefore continue to be supplied with AGV solutions of the highest quality.
Ulf Henriksson, President and CEO of Dematic, said: "We are pleased to announce the acquisition of NDC Automation. This strengthens our ability to develop, deliver and deploy AGV solutions for material handling, warehousing and order picking globally." Henriksson continued: "The NDC portfolio builds on an existing portfolio that dynamically optimizes the movement of raw materials and finished products as they pass through an automated facility. This includes the associated software that provides real-time material flow metrics."
NDC has been supplying AGV solutions for 40 years
Headquartered in Australia, NDC Automation has been providing AGV solutions to companies based in Australia and New Zealand for more than 40 years. The company has pioneered important advancements in the areas of safety and vehicle navigation for its customers.
