Lightweight pallet wins German Packaging Award 2019
The B4B lightweight pallet from Paletten-Service Hamburg AG was awarded the German Packaging Award 2019 in the "Logistics and Material Flow" category in the first year after its market launch. The jury was particularly impressed by its performance and sustainability: the lightweight pallet is robust and free of nails or staples; it complies with ISPM-15 and the wood-based materials used, plywood and HDF, enable ecological disposal.
"We are delighted to have received this award from the independent jury of experts," explains Daniel Stadach, CEO of Paletten-Service Hamburg AG, proudly. "This pallet weighs just 5.5 kg and has a dynamic load capacity of up to 900 kg; statically, it has a load capacity of 4,500 kg. It can be stacked to save space and is particularly suitable for our customers in the export business." The German Packaging Award is the most prestigious showcase for packaging in Europe. The prize is awarded under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and has been recognizing the best solutions and innovations in various categories since 1963. The exhibition is organized by the German Packaging Institute (dvi) in Berlin.
Paletten-Service Hamburg AG is one of the largest pallet suppliers in Europe with 300 employees and an annual turnover of around € 100 million. It has branches and subsidiaries in Hamburg, Wismar, Finsterwalde, Hodenhagen, Wloszakowice/PL and Dobrzyca/PL.
