The ASTI Mobile Robotics Group has developed the EBOT platform line for e-commerce. The robots pick up shelves, transport racks and containers and navigate using SLAM and QR codes.

They can increase operational efficiency in order processing and goods-to-person picking and enable a highly flexible, scalable system that can be adapted to the production process in e-commerce. Online stores (sales portals) and stores that offer their goods over the internet are growing by leaps and bounds, showing that the future of shopping is digital. In 2019, turnover in B2C e-commerce amounted to 59.2 billion euros in Germany alone (according to statista.de).

In order to remain competitive in the market, mobility, warehouse optimization, the management of a large number of products and the ability to react quickly to peaks in demand play an important role in the industry. With the new robot platform of the EBOT product family, ASTI Mobile Robotics has developed a solution that meets these challenges. Depending on production requirements, an EBOT fleet can be flexibly scaled upwards and installed or uninstalled without the need for a large infrastructure.

EBOT is available in two versions

The EBOT platform line has maneuverability and enables agility and efficiency in intralogistics goods movements and order picking processes. An omnidirectional drive and turn-on-spot technology allow the vehicle to perform longitudinal and transverse movements. The EBOT can pick up transport racks with all possible product combinations and containers of different sizes.

There are currently two models for the platform line with load capacities from 350 kg (EBOT 350, 1051 x 660 x 352) to 600 kg (EBOT 600, 1202 x 780 x 352). Each vehicle model is equipped with a lifting function that can be moved to a height of 120 mm. Navigation is via QR codes/SLAM. The robots are equipped with safety laser scanners that ensure 360º protection in collaborative work environments. EBOTS also offer 24/7 operation through a battery management system that monitors the status of the integrated lithium-ion batteries.
