Zebra increases employee productivity
Zebra Technologies Corporation has announced intuitive warehouse offerings that can help optimize workflows, increase warehouse productivity and improve onboarding of new employees.
With Zebra's Android-based mobile computers and optional accessories, such as the new HD4000 head-mounted display, Zebra FulfillmentEdge aims to transform warehouse management systems by enabling real-time dynamic workflows and guiding mobile workers in picking, packing and putaway. Expensive and risky upgrades or backend changes should no longer be necessary.
Zebra has also introduced the new RS5100 wireless ring scanner, which mobile workers can attach to a finger so they can scan hands-free.
According to Zebra's latest 2024 Warehousing Vision Study, decision makers in IT and operations teams are already taking steps to modernize and expand their facilities and WMS platforms. 54 percent of organizations surveyed plan to implement full-featured warehouse management and mobile work execution systems by 2024. FulfillmentEdge integrates existing real-time WMS data with real-time location data, providing visibility into the locations of workers, inventory and material handling equipment.

"Zebra's intuitive FulfillmentEdge software and optional HD4000 head-mounted display give mobile workers clear step-by-step instructions, reducing training time by 90 percent and enabling near-instant onboarding. At the same time, decision makers benefit from real-time insights and analytics that enable improved data-driven decisions."
