Kasto: Innovative sawing concept for additive manufacturing
Kasto Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG presented its innovative sawing concept for additive manufacturing for the first time at the Nortec trade fair: With the Kastowin amc, the company has designed a high-performance automatic band saw specifically for single cuts of additively manufactured components. The Kastowin amc is designed to separate components made from materials that are easy to difficult to machine from their base plate using additive manufacturing processes. The band saw has a turning device that allows the workpieces to be rotated by 180 degrees. The base plate with the additively manufactured parts can be easily screwed onto the device using a handling device or a crane, or alternatively attached using an optionally available quick-clamping system.
