Delivered on site and, for the most part, installed in a short space of time. LEDeXCHANGE operates its own logistics center in Bad Bentheim and can therefore deliver large quantities at short notice and have them replaced by its own fitters. The 450 installed light sources have a total value of around 45,000 euros. Initially, both partners conclude a transfer agreement with the aim of the lighting becoming the property of the museum. The lighting manufacturer gives a ten-year guarantee on the LEDs supplied. A guarantee of five years would otherwise be standard. By replacing the conventional lighting with LEDs, the Deutsches Museum Bonn expects a significant reduction in electricity costs. Extrapolated to the average service life of the current light sources, savings of a good 1,700 euros per month and around 21,000 euros per year can be expected.
