Automation to combat the shortage of skilled workers

Enrico Pes, Managing Director Sales & Operations at Trapo, looks back on Logimat with great satisfaction. The focus of the live presentation at the trade fair: a flexible, modular set for safe pallet transportation - consisting of conveyor technology on an AMR and transfer conveyor.

Live at Logimat, an AMR with a Moveli attachment delivered a pallet of cartons to the TRAPO Cobot Palletizer (TCP series), which can palletize and depalletize without a fence. It handed the guests an XXL thermo cup as a greeting. © Trapo

"Delegate your Automation Task" was the sales team's invitation to the trade audience - and the guests were not long in coming. The focus was on individual automation solutions, especially for areas with limited space.

Compact automation from a single source

In Stuttgart, Trapo presented itself as a system integrator: With products and product solutions that meet the needs of end customers, system suppliers (OEM / Original Equipment Manufacturer) and machine builders.

There was also a live demonstration at the trade fair: conveyor technology on an AMR including a transfer conveyor, an add-on module from Moveli and specially developed transfer conveyors that dock onto existing conveyor technology. A patented innovation from the Swiss Moovimenta Group, to which Trapo has also belonged since 2019. One advantage of the solution: the attachments are compatible with the most important AMR OEMs.

In Stuttgart, the Trapo Cobot Palletizer (TCP series) took over the pallet delivery from Moveli as the entry-level model for automation. Delivered on just two pallets, the robot, which acts as a "colleague" without a fence, is used flexibly wherever its palletizing performance is required.

The manufacturer from Gescher-Hochmoor in Westphalia has grown up in the field of conveyor technology. To this day, solutions optimize the material flow in production and warehouses. The added value: customers cover their entire hardware and software requirements via a central partner, whereby existing systems and third-party machines are also integrated into the concept. The sales team presents mobile alternatives to rigidly installed conveyor technology:

  • to humanize workplaces
  • so that space - especially where space is limited - can be used flexibly
  • as safe solutions for changing requirements, products and tasks

Loading and unloading trucks autonomously

The Trapo loading system TLS 3600 (TLS Series) for loading and unloading trucks in 24/7 three-shift operation also has new features. With its shortened length and three versions, the TLS 3600 offers the ideal solution for every loading requirement: for loading three Euro pallets lengthways or two Euro or industrial transverse pallets plus a combination of both. In addition to box trucks, vehicles with tarpaulins and all-round drop sides can be loaded and unloaded autonomously.

Dock plus vehicle is available both as a fixed installation (Fixed) and as a mobile version - mounted on wheels (Wheel) or rails (Rail). It can therefore be used either as a 1:1 solution or to operate several loading hatches.

Compact class for (de)palletizing

With the three models of the "compact class" - from the entry-level model to the space-saving high-performance palletizer - TRAPO offers solutions for intralogistics and continues the development of its (de)palletizers. The solutions are complemented by individual gripper technology.

The proprietary Trapo Pack software configures the optimum layer pattern from the dimensions of the package and the pallet - for optimized stack formation as the basis for stable shipping units. Once generated, layer patterns are optimized on the monitor. Layer patterns and pallet loads can be configured by the user and saved for subsequent palletizing processes.
