Expansion of the vehicle fleet

Universal Transport takes over new trailers from Goldhofer

Universal Transport GmbH Gotha is further expanding its Goldhofer vehicle fleet with the acquisition of an STZ-VP 3 low-bed semi-trailer with a total weight of 62 tons and an MPA 7 semi-trailer with a total weight of 110 tons. The vehicles are intended for the Gotha site in eastern Germany and will be used there for general cargo and heavy haulage.

Both vehicles have an axle load of 12 t per axle line and therefore allow a higher payload compared to vehicles with conventional 10 t steering knuckle axles. With its virtually maintenance-free "MPA axle technology", the "MPA" 7 shown in the picture offers an axle system that is reduced to just a few individual parts and is therefore less susceptible to wear and, above all, considerably lighter than conventional axle systems. Further advantages of the vehicle are the loading area of 12.6 m, which can be extended by a further 8.9 m to over 20 m, the two-part drive-on ramps for heavy machinery and the safety and lashing concept. This vehicle can therefore be used for numerous purposes.
