Schwarzmüller receives loading certificate for long trucks
The Schwarzmüller Group can be pleased: for the first time, a lightweight semi-trailer for long trucks with a loading area of 14.98 meters has passed the load safety regulations in dynamic tests.
"This semi-trailer is light, long and now also load-certified! We are once again demonstrating our expertise in lightweight construction," said CEO Roland Hartwig today, Thursday, August 27, at the announcement of the innovation at the company's headquarters in Hanzing in the municipality of Freinberg near Schärding (Upper Austria). According to Hartwig, the load safety certification guarantees that the load can be transported without additional safety measures.
The load-certified type 1 long semi-trailer (extended semi-trailer, which is approved for test operation in Germany but not in Austria) scores points with its low tare weight. It weighs 200 kilograms less than a standard vehicle, even though it is 1.30 meters longer.
