saloodo! is making progress

Bonn, 31.08.2017 - Following the successful launch of Saloodo! in Germany, the company is now increasingly focusing on international expansion with a view to its growth strategy. Until now, customers have been able to use the digital freight platform to handle the transportation of their goods within Germany, as well as from Germany to Europe and from Europe to Germany. As of now, DHL's digital freight marketplace is also available to users in the United Kingdom for domestic shipments as well as freight orders from England to Europe and from Europe to England. Parallel to the geographical expansion, Saloodo! also offers numerous new functionalities.
"Our aim is to continuously improve and accelerate the logistics processes for our customers. That's why we are in close contact with the shippers and carriers who regularly use our marketplace and incorporate their feedback into the optimization of our digital freight platform. The launch of Saloodo! in the UK is the next logical step for us to further develop our offering," says Amadou Diallo, CEO Saloodo! and adds, "other countries will follow by the end of the year, with Spain and Portugal at the top of the list."
As part of the current business expansion, the functionalities of Saloodo! have also been specifically expanded. Freight rates and invoices can now be displayed in the relevant national currency, taking into account the applicable VAT rate. In addition to the already existing payment options by credit card, PayPal and SEPA, payment after receipt of invoice is now also possible - for major customers also by collective invoice on request.
There is also another new feature in the Saloodo! Driver App. The mobile application, which transport service providers can use to receive order data and route information and transmit status updates and documents to the platform in real time, is now available in 11 additional languages. In addition to German and English, the system offers Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish, Czech and Hungarian. red
