Strongest sales growth in North America
Daimler Trucks' largest sales markets developed predominantly positively in the past year. Daimler Trucks recorded the strongest growth in the NAFTA region. Group unit sales of the Freightliner, Western Star and Thomas Built Buses brands, among others, rose by 15 percent to around 172,700 in the first eleven months.

High growth in Asia due to Indonesia and India
Sales in Asia also increased significantly by 12% to 147,900 vehicles sold. While sales in Japan in the first eleven months were roughly on a par with the previous year at around 40,000, sales in the important Indonesian market rose significantly by 52 percent to 57,400 units by November 2018. In India, Daimler sold 35 percent more vehicles by November than in the same period last year.

Sales growth in Europe
In the so-called EU30 region (European Union, Switzerland, Norway), Daimler Trucks' sales increased slightly by 4 percent in 2018. With a share of 36 percent, Mercedes-Benz continues to lead the truck market in Germany.
