Port of Rotterdam gives visitors an insight
As part of the Rotterdam Experience Tour, the port of Rotterdam is opening its doors to selected visitors. The aim is to give German and Austrian entrepreneurs the opportunity to get to know the port personally.
The event is organized every two years by the Port of Rotterdam Authority for shippers, transport companies and logistics service providers from Germany and Austria. The program includes a wide range of lectures, port excursions and a networking event on board the SS Rotterdam. Over one hundred invited guests will take part in the Rotterdam Experience Tour 2018.
"Germany is the largest and most important economic power in Europe. Rotterdam has the largest port in Europe," explains Allard Castelein, CEO of the Port of Rotterdam Authority. "We are the perfect alternative to German ports: fast, reliable, flexible, innovative and, above all, sustainable. That's why Rotterdam wants to be the preferred port for Germany." One of the Port of Rotterdam Authority's strategic priorities is to deepen this trade relationship. The Port Authority also promotes freight transport by inland container vessel and rail as an environmentally friendly alternative to road transport.
