Health protection: Mosolf Group develops action plan

In order to implement expert recommendations and increase the health protection of its employees, the Mosolf Group has developed an operational concept of measures. The "Mosolf Logistics Protection Program" is continuously updated and adapted to the latest findings and standards of the ministries. From May 1, 2020, for example, access to all Mosolf locations will only be possible via a so-called Mosolf Health Gate.

People with respiratory symptoms or a fever are not allowed to enter the site. The standardized process at the Mosolf Health Gates serves to protect against the spread of the coronavirus in the workplace. Before each admission, a health check is carried out by verbally answering a standardized questionnaire and an infrared fever measurement. If there is the slightest suspicion of infection, the person in question, whether an employee or external visitor, is denied access to the site. Employees must go into immediate quarantine until they have been medically examined. In addition, anyone wishing to enter a site will be given personal protective equipment (PPE), including a face mask, at the health gate. Access to the site without PPE in accordance with the regulations is also not permitted.

"The Mosolf Logistics Protection Program underlines the fact that we take our duty of care and responsibility for implementing the SARS-CoV-2 occupational health and safety standard very seriously. We want to give employees, customers and suppliers the best possible safety in their daily work," explains Dr. Jörg Mosolf, CEO of the Mosolf Group. "Thanks to the newly introduced Mosolf Health Gates, our sites form a closed and secure network. We are thus protecting our employees and minimizing the risk of plant closures at the same time."

The Mosolf Group had already communicated and implemented recommendations for dealing with coronavirus at the beginning of March. Among other things, washing and disinfection facilities were set up at the sites, employees were assigned to home office or shift work and personal protective clothing was distributed to all sites. The measures are adapted and supplemented in close cooperation with the local works councils and occupational health and safety specialists.
People who frequently come into contact with transport documents are required to wear disposable gloves. There is an additional mask requirement for persons who frequently come into contact with others or whose work area does not continuously allow a safety distance of 1.5 meters to be maintained. Gloves and masks must be changed several times a day and disposed of safely.
