After more than 20 years and continuous further development, the new MAN Truck series presented in February of this year is now taking over the legacy of the MAN Trucknology generation.

The first step was taken by the MAN TGX. It has been on Europe's roads for a few weeks now. One of the first transport companies to put the new lions into operation is HVL Transporte GmbH from Pattensen near Hanover. The medium-sized company, which relies exclusively on MAN trucks, has added seven MAN TGXs to its fleet. Managing Director Daniel Hoppenstock comments: "The new MAN TGX offers our drivers a pleasant and well thought-out workplace. At the same time, the low fuel consumption, which has been further reduced compared to the previous model, is impressive."

But the new MAN TGX has not only arrived in classic long-distance transport. The Bärnreuther-Deuerlein company also relies on the new truck for transporting bulk goods and is particularly impressed by the numerous assistance systems: "The safety of road users is very important to us as a company. But the safety of our drivers is just as important to us. The new MAN TGX is equipped with exactly the right assistance systems. We are absolutely satisfied and are looking forward to the other MAN vehicles we have ordered," explains Anna Bärnreuther, Fleet Management at Bärnreuther+Deuerlein Schotterwerke.

Customers wishing to hire the new MAN Truck Generation can do so in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Croatia via the truck rental company BFS Business Fleet Services GmbH.

About the new MAN Truck Generation
In addition to focusing on the driver with a new operating concept, economy was a priority in the development of the new MAN Truck Generation. New concepts for the driveline, aerodynamics and the MAN EfficientCruise efficiency assistant are intended to make the new generation up to 8.2% more economical than the previous generation of vehicles, which was recently confirmed by a test drive carried out by TÜV Süd.

Driver feedback used for development
For the development of the new MAN trucks, more than 700 drivers were asked about various prototype solutions, including during visits to truck stops and rest areas. In addition, MAN invited 300 national and international customers from a total of 16 countries to Munich in order to define the most important requirements for a new vehicle in workshops.
