Solutions were developed for the new Actros with the aim of designing it to be as safe, efficient and networked as possible. "It fills us with great pride to be the first site to build the new Actros and to manage the global ramp-up as a competence center. This gives us at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth a special role in the international production network," says Dr. Matthias Jurytko, Site Manager at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth. "In over half a century, the Wörth team has built up outstanding expertise: they know exactly how to produce trucks to the highest quality standards. This has once again been impressively demonstrated with the start of production of our new flagship."

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth began intensive preparations along the product development process for the new Actros back in 2014, using modern technologies such as virtual reality (VR). The assembly of the vehicle was simulated in a special VR room in order to later realize the production process in the best possible way. Together with all other model series at the plant, the new Actros runs flexibly along one and the same assembly line, depending on the order.
