New transportation offer
Gebrüder Weiss launches new groupage service to Russia
On November 2, Gebrüder Weiss opened a new weekly scheduled service between Vienna and Moscow. The company is thus expanding its transportation services for groupage freight to Russia.
This is the second regular direct connection from Gebrüder Weiss to the Russian capital. The logistics company has already been operating a successful groupage service from Memmingen in Bavaria to Moscow for two years. Due to its enormous size and population of around 140 million, Russia is a particularly interesting sales market for export-oriented European companies.
"The new groupage service Vienna-Moscow meets the increasing demand of our customers for regular transports to Russia. We have gained good experience with the Memmingen-Moscow line, which we have now been able to use for the development of the second connection," says Thomas Moser, Director and Regional Manager Black Sea/CIS at Gebrüder Weiss. Vienna acts as a central goods transshipment point for transports from Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. Primarily consumer goods, automotive parts and industrial components are transported.
