Gebrüder Weiss expands its distribution network

The transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss has a new exclusive partner in JDE (Zheldor Ekspeditsiya). The company thus ensures nationwide overland transportation to all regions of Russia.

JDE has 244 locations in Russia, making it one of the largest domestic networks in the country. "With JDE, we have an established partner in the Russian market that has a strong overland transportation network and logistics expertise and knows the local cultures inside out," says Thomas Moser, Director and Regional Manager Black Sea/CIS at Gebrüder Weiss, explaining the reasons for the cooperation. In return, JDE's customers receive a direct connection to Gebrüder Weiss' international network and thus to markets in Central and Southeast Europe, Central Asia and the USA.

The partnership is part of Gebrüder Weiss' Silk Road strategy: the company is expanding its Central Asian locations and transport routes between China and Europe. Gebrüder Weiss is already represented with its own locations in southern countries such as Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and China.
