DOLL presents the new low-bed X semi-trailer

DOLL Fahrzeugbau GmbH is continuing its campaign program for the 10th anniversary of panther axle technology with the introduction of the new low-bed X semi-trailer. "We didn't just focus on optimized handling for the operator. With the intelligent and powerful DOLL connect trailer management system, we are taking our low-bed to a whole new level in heavy transport," emphasizes Renato Ramella, Managing Director of DOLL Fahrzeugbau GmbH. "The series of the new, digital generation continue to rely on our payload-optimized steel construction, the leading axle technology DOLL panther or the robust DOLL VARIO axle. These have already proven themselves in thousands of applications worldwide."

"Even more intelligent. Even more ergonomic. Even safer.": The slogan for the market launch sums up the key points of the new design. Take the DOLL EEP, for example: the assistance system ("position-independent electronic tracking") scores points with the fully automatic and position-independent tracking of the new low beds. The semi-trailer is tracked in after the steering process without having to pull the tractor unit straight first. Instead, the DOLL EEP automatically determines the correct steering angle of the chassis axles by comparing the articulation angle between the tractor unit and semi-trailer. The basis for this is the intelligent DOLL tronic operating and control system, with which all trailer functions can be carried out via separate keypads at the rear and gooseneck.

Intelligent and safe
The DOLL connect trailer management system, which records all available vehicle data, is based on the sophisticated sensor technology of the DOLL tronic. The standard scope includes a mileage display and permanent monitoring of the ride height, steering and central lubrication system. All information is clearly shown on the radio remote control display. Error messages and warning signals actively prevent incorrect operation or unscheduled downtimes. Saddle load indicators (with retractable gooseneck) and tire pressure monitoring can be integrated as an option. Another option is the operation of the main frame lock and parking brake via the radio remote control: simple release without any effort increases safety and comfort for the driver in equal measure.

DOLL has also paid attention to the details of durability and robustness. For example, potted plug connections with quadruple sealing offer even better weather and corrosion protection. The plugs can also be replaced and connected more quickly. Further points of the redesign include optimizations to the gooseneck. It now takes less time and effort to set down the access ramps, and access to the gooseneck has also been improved. For easier access, DOLL has rearranged the components under the gooseneck and increased the clearance under the outer beams. Separable lines from the rear carriage to the drop deck ensure easy disassembly and therefore less time spent on servicing. Speaking of the rear end: new full LED lighting at the rear with running indicators and flashing side marker lights enhances the look.
