Crown with Profi Liner variant for Denmark

The first Krone Profi Liner with four axles is now on the road in Denmark. The new vehicle was approved by the Danish authorities a few days ago.

Krone now offers a vehicle that has been specially tailored to the requirements of Danish transport companies. In Denmark, an articulated truck with a total of seven axles may have a total weight of 56 tons. The Profi Liner with four axles may have a total weight of 30 tons; each axle carries 7.5 tons. In contrast, an identically constructed, loaded semi-trailer with three axles may weigh a maximum of 24 tons in Denmark.

Thanks to the higher payload of the Profi Liner 4-axle vehicle, customer demand in Denmark is correspondingly high, reports Uffe Steffensen, Krone Scandinavian Key Account. "In recent years, we have received more and more requests for a 4-axle vehicle, both from major Danish customers and from individual customers. So we decided to include the Profi Liner 4-axle vehicle in our product portfolio. We assemble the additional axle at our branch in Padborg and then obtain the vehicle registration. The response proves us right. The first ten units have already been sold and are now in use in Denmark with special approval."
