Award: "Lean and Green Star" for Spedition Rabelink

Rabelink Logistics, the Dutch subsidiary of the Huettemann Group, has been awarded the "Lean and Green Star" first class. The award is part of a sustainability program and aims to reduce CO
-emissions. The "Lean & Green 1
Star" from the sustainability network "Connekt" and the Dutch Freight Forwarders Association TLN on Thursday in Amersfoort. 20 percent less carbon dioxide within five years - this is the requirement for the prestigious award in the Dutch logistics industry. Rabelink managed to achieve the CO
-emissions by almost 55 percent per loading meter.

Achieving the goal through various measures
In order to reduce emissions, the drivers were trained to drive economically and the maximum speed of the trucks was reduced by 7 km/h. In addition, Rabelink switched to eco-combis with a larger load volume and replaced double-decker semi-trailers with three-decker trailers. In Switzerland, the majority of transports were shifted to rail.
