Logimat 2022
Stair climber, pallet magazine and shelving in focus at Karl H. Bartels
Karl H. Bartels will be presenting an overview of the 30,000-strong product range as well as new products. "As social distancing rules have fueled the demand for stair-climbing transport equipment, we are taking a particularly large number of stair climbers with us to Stuttgart this time," explains Bartels Managing Director Sebastian Krayenborg.
The company has been distributing appliances from well-known manufacturers such as Zonzini in Germany for over 50 years. The product range is constantly being expanded. At LogiMAT 2022, Bartels is now presenting two of its own devices for the first time. They are each characterized by a low weight and a powerful motor that enables safe manoeuvring on the stairs with a high load capacity. The speed can be regulated manually and both models are particularly user-friendly thanks to a soft start. They can be easily folded for space-saving transportation. "In addition, both are significantly cheaper than comparable models and therefore help to meet the high demand for transport equipment," explains Sebastian Krayenborg. The Ibex stair climber combines the maneuverability of a manual stair climber with the efficiency of an electric stair climber. Despite its maximum maneuverability, the device can carry loads of up to 150 kg, making it ideal for parcel services and transporting white goods, among other things. With a tare weight of just 26 kg, the Ibex can be easily lifted from the loading area. At 38 kg, the Goral stair climber weighs slightly more, but can also move loads of up to 220 kg. "This makes it ideal for light construction work, for example," says Krayenborg. "Tilers, plumbers or heating engineers can use it to transport their materials to the construction site with minimal effort." The Goral can also be used to move radiators or vending machines over stairs or thresholds in a personnel-efficient manner by just one person.
In addition to its own devices, Bartels will be exhibiting the new models of the classic Domino and Skipper in Stuttgart. "Zonzini has further developed both devices and equipped them with new electronics and controls, making them even more intuitive and safe to use," says Krayenborg. In addition to stair climbers, Bartels will be exhibiting the DStacker pallet magazine for the first time at LogiMAT 2022. It is designed for very high pallet turnover in an order picking warehouse and dispenses one of up to 55 pallets every 10 seconds. What's more, the DStacker works completely without a power connection, pneumatics or hydraulics. "This makes it a revolution among pallet magazines," explains Sebastian Krayenborg, adding that Bartels will of course once again be presenting examples of its custom-made racking for long goods, sheet and heavy-duty storage at LogiMAT. "We are looking forward to finally being able to show interesting product innovations live again in 2022," says Sebastian Krayenborg.
