OHRA: Storing end-of-life vehicles safely
Spanish car recycler Desguace Alarcón has expanded its capacity for storing end-of-life vehicles with cantilever racking from OHRA. 40 racks in the external warehouse, each of which can store six cars weighing up to 1,600 kilograms, now offer space for further growth. The flexibility of the suspended, height-adjustable cantilever arms was particularly impressive: not only can they be used to adjust the shelf height as required, but they also give way in the event of impacts, thus preventing damage to the shelving and the stored vehicles. The cars are placed on three levels, each on two 1,800 millimeter long cantilever arms. This means that each vehicle can be accessed at any time without restacking, even if it is positioned at the bottom.
