Hüngsberg presents new EDI systems

In the logistics sector, there is still room for improvement in terms of digitalization, especially when it comes to data exchange. While electronic data interchange (EDI) has been the (mandatory) standard in the automotive sector for years, many companies in transport logistics still work largely with paper or by email - and are therefore missing out on the opportunity to organize their processes faster and more cost-effectively.

Hüngsberg GmbH was therefore one of the first EDI software providers to develop sophisticated EDI solutions and, now in its second generation, has 38 years of experience in this field. Managing Director Tania Hüngsberg-Cengil is certain: "Those who operate well thought-out EDI data handling in logistics can realize valuable competitive advantages." At LogiMAT 2020, EDI pioneer Hüngsberg will be showcasing its EDI systems in hall 9 at stand C32.

But: EDI is a matter of trust. The exchange of sensitive data requires a secure system environment, and the basis for this is secure, professional software and the optimum EDI connection. This is why Hüngsberg operates an in-house development department at its Hallbergmoos site (north of Munich). With over 10,000 EDI applications sold worldwide and as a first mover in this field, Hüngsberg has expertise in this special market segment.

The Hüngsberg product portfolio includes EDI applications that are specifically suitable for use in the logistics sector. Example 1: clearDAX, a communication and conversion software on demand (SaaS) for the translation of standardized business messages from a source format to a target format and for the exchange of data to and from business partners. As no separate IT infrastructure is required and the existing ERP system can be used as a user interface, clearDAX is an entry-level solution. Example 2: the client-server solution ediDAX, in which the processes can be mapped on a customer-specific basis. Incoming and outgoing messages are processed completely automatically.
