AR Racking honored for exemplary health care
The Spanish intralogistics company AR Racking received the "Xcellens" award for its employee program "Por tu salud" ("For your health") at a gala event at the Catalonia Barcelona Plaza hotel in November.
The award was presented by Grupo ASPY, another Spanish organization for occupational health and safety and the prevention of occupational risks, which honored the company for its exemplary occupational health policy.
Developed by the "Quality Management and Accident Prevention" department in collaboration with ASPY, AR Racking initially launched "Por tu salud" for its plant in Tudela, province of Navarra. After receiving a very positive response, the company decided to extend the program to its headquarters and its technological center in the province of Biskaia for more than 200 employees.
"Por tu salud" stands for preventive healthcare with three main areas of activity: A physiotherapy service to harmonize and improve the musculoskeletal system, extensive nutritional advice with talks on healthy eating, supplemented by the distribution of fruit or dried fruit, for example, and a smoking cessation service. AR Racking feels a special obligation towards its employees and tries to influence health-endangering habits and possible work risks in the best possible way.
Operations Manager Óscar Escribano accepted the award, which has been presented by ASPY since 2010, on behalf of everyone involved at AR Racking. He emphasized that health care and accident prevention are very important at AR Racking and represent important pillars for the success and growth of the company.
