The pocket sorter is an automation solution for high-volume sorting tasks, particularly in e-commerce and omnichannel retail. It offers automatic individual access to articles and enables the fully automated compilation of individual, multi-part orders. Typical areas of application are fashion (hanging and flat-packed goods), paper and printed products as well as personalized products. The main advantages of the system are the space savings due to the vertical arrangement of the pockets and the freeing up of floor space in the distribution center due to the installation on or near the ceiling. The high degree of automation of the overhead conveyor system minimizes manual activities during the sorting and distribution process and ensures gentle goods handling.

As a system that allows the dynamic temporary storage of items, the pocket sorter also supports returns management. In line with the motto "buffering instead of restocking", high-selling products returned by customers can be collected and parked in a buffer sector. When new customer orders are dispatched, priority is then given to items already in the bag sorter.

The pocket sorter also stands out from similar solutions thanks to special optional features such as special quick-discharge pockets and the choice of different sorting modes.
