At Logimat 2026, Safelog will be presenting mobile robotics for goods-to-person processes. The aim is to speed up the transition zones between pickport, consolidation and packaging and to make fulfillment processes scalable.

The focus is on current bottlenecks in fulfillment centers, which occur primarily in the final process steps despite the widespread use of ASRS and shuttle systems. "We are seeing that the majority of our customers' automation projects are currently goods-to-person projects," says Mathias Behounek, Managing Director of Safelog. "The requirements are clear: faster throughput, fewer errors, more ergonomics and remaining flexible and scalable at the same time. Our robots are made for exactly that."

Safelog shows two robot models for different tasks:

  • GT1 spin for shelf and pallet-to-person applications. The robot drives under shelves, lifts them and moves them even in narrow or irregular layouts. The GT1 shows its strengths particularly in grown structures where the geometry is not perfect. Its maneuverability and integrated turning function make it an ideal tool for dynamic storage processes.
  • XS1 for fast transportation between pickport and packing station. With its high travel speed of up to 4 m/s and error-free container allocation, it ensures that bottlenecks in the pick-pack transition are avoided. The XS1 demonstrates its efficiency in environments with high cycle times.

Both systems are coordinated via agent-based, decentralized control software. The robots distribute tasks independently, failures of individual vehicles do not affect the fleet and expansions are possible without a central control center. The vehicles also support the VDA 5050 standard and can be integrated into mixed fleets. The solutions are designed for existing layouts and are also suitable for multi-storey systems via interfaces to lifts and console lifts.
