Data management as the basis for AI in the warehouse

In digitalized materials management, algorithms calculate ideal transport routes in the warehouse and transport systems navigate autonomously through factory halls. Data input into the ERP system can also be simplified using artificial intelligence (AI). Access to the right data is required as a basis for the use of AI. Trapo has developed the TIM data management system. The solution allows users to call up sales and production figures as well as information on plant statuses worldwide in real time.

According to a study commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, 47% of the companies surveyed are expected to use AI technologies to at least a small extent by 2023. It is well known that such solutions can help to optimize processes in intralogistics - however, any AI application is only as good as the data collected from the machines.

This is where the Trapo Intelligent Management System TIM data management system can provide support.
Data analyses can be used to improve production processes at an early stage, localize sources of error without detours and uncover potential for optimization. In addition to the yield-optimized expansion of production times, the system also scores points with effective time management and at the same time enables a reduction in costs and an increase in quality.

It also relies on predictive maintenance: a reliable spare parts and preventive service ensures high system availability and prevents downtimes and production losses. In addition, maintenance personnel can be deployed in a planned manner.
