Always full, never a mistake, promises KBS Industrieelektronik
The pick-by-light specialist KBS Industrieelektronik presents an E-Kanban module for electronic fill level monitoring. For this purpose, KBS has developed a sensor that seamlessly integrates the automatically detected fill level into pick-by-light systems.
The technology used here means that only one sensor per flow channel is required for detection; cable guides within the flow channel are no longer necessary. The sensor monitors the container fill level continuously and without contact. As soon as there is only a definable minimum number of containers left on the shelf, the replenishment control system receives a message. In combination with a put-to-light module, the replenishment process can be optimized by providing visual support from an eye-catching light. For reliable protection against incorrect picking, KBS is also presenting an intervention sensor that can be used to reliably detect removal or depositing from/into a container and immediately alerts the employee in the event of incorrect picking.
