The aim is to develop innovative energy transmission solutions and expand the joint presence in the port industry. "The collaboration between Vahle and Elonroad brings together a unique combination of experience and expertise on an equal footing. Together we strive to set new standards in energy transmission and help shape a more sustainable future," says Achim Dries, CEO of the Vahle Group. While Vahle can look back on over 100 years of experience in energy and data transmission, the Swedish start-up is contributing its "plugless" power transmission for electric vehicles to the partnership. The innovative "plugless" technology enables e-vehicles to be charged directly while driving or parked. It is already being used in public transport and logistics centers and has proven to be reliable, efficient and cost-effective. By combining their technologies and expertise, the two companies plan to develop a comprehensive solution to reduce thecarbon footprint of container ports while increasing their operational efficiency. In-motion charging technology, i.e. dynamic or wireless charging, is expected to enable a faster and more flexible energy supply for industrial vehicles. The technology should also help the industry to take a further step towards zero-emission terminals. The cooperation partners are already in talks with several large port terminal operators to implement potential projects.
