The supply of the population and companies with goods and commodities via the terminal facilities of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) is ensured regardless of the measures in place to protect against the spread of the coronavirus. "We are aware of our special responsibility as a service provider for the industrial nation of Germany," explained Angela Titzrath, Chairwoman of the Executive Board, on Monday, March 16, 2020. "Our employees are helping to ensure that Germany's ability to supply itself is maintained." HHLA has prepared itself well to cope with the extraordinary situation caused by the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Stable operations are guaranteed at HHLA's facilities in the ports of Hamburg, Odessa and Tallinn as well as at the rail subsidiary Metrans, Titzrath assures us. At the same time, the company has taken a number of measures to protect employees from infection. "For us, protecting the health of our employees and the stability of our operations are two sides of the same coin," says the HHLA CEO.
