"Port meets mainland" as a guest in the Rhine-Neckar economic region

This year's "Port meets mainland" series of events came to a close in Hockenheim. Around 60 representatives from the Rhine-Neckar economic region accepted the joint invitation from Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort-Marketing Gesellschaft (CTWM), Eurogate and TFG Transfracht.

The region around Mannheim is home to numerous strong companies from industry, trade, logistics and the service sector. The guests were welcomed by Sebastian Kolb, Head of the Western Region and Switzerland at TFG. The presentations focused on the service portfolio of Eurogate Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven, the space potential in the neighboring freight center and the range of seaport hinterland logistics services offered by TFG Transfracht with the integration of Wilhelmshaven into the AlbatrosExpress network.

Daily connection to deep sea port

For example, Nikolaus Gossmann, Regional Sales Manager TFG Transfracht, pointed out that the daily connection between JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven and the Rhine-Neckar economic region in combined transport takes place via the AlbatrosExpress-Mannheim. The advantages here are the high-frequency connection, the late loading deadline for exports and early availability for imports.

Michael Moehlmann (Sales Manager CTWM) provided information on current developments and projects at the freight village. Oliver Bergk presented the Eurogate Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven with its modern structure for handling large container ships. The event was rounded off by a lively exchange of views on the opportunities for optimizing the supply chain of the regional logistics industry that could arise from the integration of the JadeWeserPort.
