The N7 Cachalot Pro extends the Newland portfolio to rugged warehouse and logistics applications. It offers higher processing speed, fast roaming wireless connections, higher drop and IP ratings and additional flexibility with a choice of 3 keyboard layouts.
The 4-inch HD screen has high transparency and low reflectivity. The touchscreen is also responsive when touched with gloves and retains its sensitivity even when wet. Gorilla Glass 3 provides additional protection for the N7 Cachalot Pro and makes it more durable and resistant to damage, making the device a suitable companion in harsh environments.
The N7 Cachalot Pro carries Google's AER seal of approval, signaling that it keeps performance and security upgrades to the operating system and core features up to date. This award, combined with Newland's free MDM Ndevor, gives customers secure visibility and control over their devices, regardless of location.
The N7 Cachalot Pro supports fast charging for its 5100 mAh battery and is hot-swappable. This means that your program continues to run and the Wifi connection is maintained even if you remove the battery completely to replace it with a new one.
Close and long-range scanning, Acuscan and multi-read mode: The N7 Cachalot Pro offers a choice of megapixel 2D scan engines. The standard range version with Acuscan enables standard, accurate scanning of codes at close range or smaller objects.
Alternatively, the mid-range version is able to read codes on cartons and pallets from a greater distance. Both scanners offer Newland's multi-read mode. The keys to unlocking applications:The N7 Cachalot Pro is designed to adapt to many different applications where a physical keypad is still preferred. It offers the flexibility to choose between a 29, 38 or 47 button keypad (without side scan buttons). Each of the three configurations is backlit for good visibility in dark working environments.
