Packaging for different BMW instrument panels
At first glance, you might think: "This packaging solution is familiar and old." This is not the case:
With this solution, 35 packaging variants could be replaced across the board. The result consists of just one outer carton and two component holders. This was achieved by using the same mounting points for the different instrument panels. In addition, the component holders can be installed at 180° to accommodate the different lengths of the instrument panels.
The decisive factor for the award was the extended approach of using the component holders for damage-free provision of the instrument panels during installation in the workshop. This led to a significant reduction in complaints.
