The succession plan for FAB had been planned by company founder Anton Müller for some time. Werner Späth, who has been with the company since 2015, studied Business Administration, Forwarding, Transport and Logistics at the DHBW in Lörrach after completing his apprenticeship. He then completed his Master's degree in Business Management at HFWU in Nürtingen. At FAB, he worked as commercial manager and authorized signatory before being appointed Managing Director in 2019. "It is important to me to continue to drive the company forward and modernize it," says Späth. The 31-year-old new owner invested in new production machines and modern software. Further digitalization projects are also planned for the coming years.

The material flow systems business field was expanded in 2021 with the entry into light goods conveyor technology (container conveyor technology). "Good teamwork is the basis for mastering future challenges together," concludes Werner Späth. "On this basis, we will significantly shape the further growth of FAB."
