Roman Fürtig is Port of Hamburg Marketing Representative Germany East
At the turn of the year, Roman Fürtig took over the management of the HHM Representative Office Germany East of the Port of Hamburg.
The graduate historian and political scientist is taking over from Stefan Kunze, who will be going into well-deserved retirement at the end of April. Roman Fürtig, a native of Mecklenburg, will be responsible for the Eastern Germany market environment from Berlin. He is the contact person for members and companies in this region. In Berlin, Fürtig will also have the opportunity to provide representatives of federal politics with comprehensive information about the Port of Hamburg.
Over the past 20 years, the 49-year-old Fürtig has worked as a scientific advisor and office manager for Hamburg MPs in the German Bundestag. Among other things, he spent many years working on the Port of Hamburg and its hinterland transportation. He also helped shape the overall Elbe concept. As honorary chairman of the association "Die Pfeffersäcke", in which Hamburg residents who work in Berlin are active, he has another close relationship with the Hanseatic city.
