MBS appoints Axel Hinz as new Managing Director in Northern Germany
The MBS Logistics Group, a global forwarding company headquartered in Cologne, has appointed Axel Hinz as Managing Director for the two MBS branches in the Hamburg area with immediate effect.
In his new role, Hinz will continue to develop the Hamburg and Norderstedt locations in a growth-oriented manner. At the same time, he will bring his extensive sea freight expertise to the entire MBS Group for the realignment of this product. Hinz has been working in logistics for more than 35 years, particularly in the air and sea freight sectors. He has already held management positions at JCL Logistics, Rhenus, the Geis Group and Damco, for example. He succeeds Arne Lorenzen, who managed the North German branches for 15 years and is now retiring.
In addition to the growth-oriented development of MBS activities in the Hamburg area, Hinz will play a decisive role in the conception of innovative sea freight solutions throughout the entire group of companies. He will support MBS in further optimizing the procurement strategies in sea freight in a customer-oriented manner in order to ensure continued success in a dynamic market environment.
